12 Feb 2006     God Reigns

As recorded in biblical history, our God reigns for ever  and ever, over nations and in the hearts of man. There are many aspects to God's reign and kingdom,  such as righteousness, justice, equity, rejoicing but also judgement and tremble.   We have Jesus as the captain of our salvation, and we need to be concerned with not only  our earthly life but also our spiritual life- as soldier for the Lord to endure hardships and everything. We are to be steadfast , keeping our head and holding on to that which is dear and precious in God's sight by doing God's will- in His service and ministry.  Hallelujah ~ Praise the Lord.

Exodus 15:18      18 The LORD will reign for ever and ever."

Psalms 47:8  8 God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.

Psalms 93:1

1 The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty;

the LORD is robed in majesty

and is armed with strength.

The world is firmly established;

it cannot be moved.

Psalms 96:10

10 Say among the nations, "The LORD reigns."

The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved;

he will judge the peoples with equity.

Psalms 97:1

1 The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad;

let the distant shores rejoice.

Psalms  99:1

1 The LORD reigns,

let the nations tremble;

he sits enthroned between the cherubim,

let the earth shake.

Isaiah 32:1

1 See, a king will reign in righteousness

and rulers will rule with justice.

Luke 1:33

 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."

Rev 11:15

15The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:

"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,

and he will reign for ever and ever."

Rev 19:6

6Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.

2nd Timothy 2:10-12

10Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

11Here is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with him, we will also live with him;

12 if we endure, we will also reign with him.

If we disown him, he will also disown us;

2nd Timothy 2:3

3Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

2nd Timothy 4:5

5But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

 Rev 2:25

25Only hold on to what you have until I come.

26 Feb 2006    5 Loaves and 2 fishes

God is a God of miracle, abundance and multiplication- our Jevovah Jireh. He has compassion on the multitude and see the great needs. We see needs everywhere and we are called to be concerned and to act,  and to reach out to the lost. Even with limited resources, God is able to use you to become what you never could be, to go to where you would never go, to be who you never could be.

Matthew 14:13-21

13When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns.

14When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

15As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food."

16Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."

17"We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.

18"Bring them here to me," he said.

19And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

20They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

 21The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
